Judy Saraiva Paz, LICSW, (she/her) identifies as a white cisgender woman. As a first generation immigrant, she also identifies as bicultural and trilingual. Saraiva Paz received her M.S.W. from Boston College and has over twenty years of clinical experience. She has worked in foster care and adoption agencies, as well as residential programs, hospitals and community mental health settings. Much of her work has been in non-profit settings as a clinical director or supervisor, and consultant. She has been a practicum faculty adviser at Smith College School for Social Work since 2017, and is now also a practicum seminar instructor. Saraiva Paz lives in Rhode Island with her husband and two children.
