Associate Professor Yoosun Park Publishes Facilitating Injustice

Faciliatating Injustice, written by Associate Professor Yoosun Park, M.S.W., Ph.D. will be released this fall. The text, set against the grim backdrop of World War II, critically examines social workers’ complicit role in the forced removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans.

Said Park, “This story has never been told before. There are several books on the larger history of the incarceration, but nobody had written about social works role in it since the 1940s. This history was completely erased and forgotten about so uncovering it became a compulsion for me— I wanted to find out.”

Copies of Facilitating Injustice are available online through Oxford University Press and Amazon and will be shipped later this fall.
