Congratulations on nearing the end of your time at Smith College School for Social Work! In just two weeks, you’ll cross the stage and officially join our powerful alumni network and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you.
As you prepare for Commencement on August 15, we invite you to begin exploring all that the SCSSW Alumni Network and the Smith College Alumnae Association have to offer. You’re about to join a community of over 5,000 alumni working across the country and around the globe—clinicians, scholars, advocates, and change-makers who all began right where you are now.

- Explore Handshake through the Lazarus Center, where you’ll find job postings and career resources tailored to social workers.
- Jobs and Fellowships: Smith College SSW often receives notices of jobs and fellowships from other organizations. Jobs and fellowships are posted on the website monthly.

- Commencement Photos: After August 20, we’ll share a link to download professional photos from your graduation ceremony.
- Virtual Licensure Event: Join us on September 24 from 7-8 p.m. EST for a virtual session that covers key steps and strategies for social work licensure.
- Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Conference – Denver, CO: Whether you attend the conference or live locally, join us for an Alumni Reception on Friday, October 24, at 7 p.m.
- American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work (AAPCSW) Conference - Austin, TX: We will be partnering with a local alumnus to plan an event in the Austin area.
- Local alumni events: Alumni host events around the country in September and April

To celebrate your upcoming graduation, we’re offering you free access to all SSW Professional Education recorded webinars on SmithOnline through December 31, 2026.
Here’s how to get started:

- Use discount code ALUMNI25 to waive the balance.
- Select as many webinars as you like when registering—it's harder to add more later.
- You’ll receive an email with enrollment keys and access instructions.
To access your courses:
- Visit SmithOnline and create a login (instructions here).
- Select “SSW Professional Education Online Course,” choose your courses, and enroll using the provided keys.
