Christopher Heinrich is a clinical social worker and justice reform practitioner with over 15 years of experience integrating clinical practice with program design and systems-level leadership. He currently serves as deputy director of strategic investments at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he oversees collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening diversion, behavioral health responses, and community safety. Heinrich previously worked at the Center for Justice Innovation and Midtown Community Justice Center, helping launch NYC’s first pre-arraignment diversion program and supporting jurisdictions nationwide through training and technical assistance. A Smith College School for Social Work graduate, he applies a trauma-informed, person-centered lens to organizational and systemic change.
