Biography

Kate Nicoll, LCSW, RPT, a graduate of Elms College and Smith College, is the founder of a statewide nonprofit providing animal-assisted psychotherapy to over 10,000 children and families in Connecticut. She is a proactive clinical leader in human-animal studies, having completed three post-master's certificates in Animal Assisted Therapy. An author of one peer-reviewed journal article in humane education, Nicoll has presented nationally and internationally on the healing benefits of the human-animal bond.
