Rebecca Lynn Davis

Rebecca Lynn Davis is a Black, Indigenous, and queer scholar, educator, and clinician. She is an assistant professor of practice in the School of Social Work at Portland State University. She holds advanced degrees from the University of Southern California and New York University. Davis is the co-founder/director for artic LLC (anti-racist, trauma informed care), a consulting organization devoted to addressing racist policies and practices that reduce or eliminate the effectiveness of their trauma-informed care practices. 

Clinically, Davis uses drama and somatic therapies with individuals with early childhood trauma across the lifespan, and interracial couples managing trauma. Teaching and research interests include: trauma healing, dissociation and cultural dissociation, clinical social work education, and abolition.
