Anika Carter, M.S.W., LCSW

Anika Carter, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who focuses on holistic mental health services. Anika’s orientation is person-centered, which honors and respects individual autonomy and choice. Anika specializes in trauma, racialized psychological injury, and perinatal mental health. She is also the co-founder of Rooted LLC, a private practice that provides mental health and reproductive care.

Anika received her M.S.W. from New York University. She brings with her experiences within program development, clinical supervision, community health advocacy and trauma research. She also is trained in EMDR, trauma-focused cbt and substance use treatment.
