Luke "tt" King (he/they) is a private practice individual and group somatic psychotherapist with experience in outpatient, community health, and university settings. His clinical style is somatic and relational in nature, influenced by training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, integrative somatic trauma therapies, and DBT skills. King has a particular love of group therapy and its capacity to help us practice the joy and pain of being in beloved community.
In teaching, King's goal is to create an environment where learners can explore, stumble, and grow, ultimately becoming more compassionate toward one another through creative processes of empathy and accountability.
As an educator and facilitator, he has offered workshops for clinicians, researchers, and physicians across healthcare disciplines in trauma-informed, LBGT-knowledgable mental health treatment. As a part-time faculty member at Boston College and Smith College, King has focused on topics of whiteness and anti-oppressive practice, group therapy, and diagnostic assessment from various clinical orientations.
