Biography

Lisette Rodriguez is a licensed clinical social worker, first-generation student, and Salvadorian American who draws inspiration from her family’s resilience and her personal and professional journey. She is committed to fostering meaningful change within communities. Her work bridges the gap between research and practice by integrating relational theory, attachment, and culturally humble practices.

Rodriguez's clinical experience includes work in nonprofits, private practice, and intensive outpatient settings. She has provided clinical supervision, intensive in-home services, delivered trauma-informed care, facilitated therapy groups, and led intensive outpatient (IOP) substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Additionally, she focuses on supporting individuals navigating grief, emotional regulation, life transitions, and systemic challenges.

Her research interests include mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family systems. Her current project uses participatory approaches to explore the experiences of caregivers of neurodivergent adults working on a care farm and their life transitions, amplifying their voices and guiding the development of supportive practices.

Outside of academia and work, Rodriguez enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring the outdoors.
