Biography

Nava Rafati earned her B.A. from Yale University and a masters in social work with a focus on child and family services from Columbia University. She is a current Ph.D. student at Smith College School for Social Work. Rafati speaks English, Farsi, Arabic and Hebrew. She joined the early childhood team at Mary’s Center in the DMV in July 2021 as a child-focused mental health therapist. At Mary's Center she works with children, parents, and families who are navigating emotional, behavioral, or transitional challenges. In her free time, Rafati enjoys playing board games, cooking, and finding new coffee spots around the DMV.
