Alumna Lands Art Exhibit Feature in Northampton
"Paper Works" by Marguerite Belkin, M.S.W. '68, will be on display at Northampton's Click Workspace from October 7 - January 3, 2020 as part of the organization's Arts Night Out: Phenonmenal Women exhibit. There will be a opening reception on October 11.
Belkin's passion for designing jewelry using origami elements began over 10 years ago. Belkin says, "My story as a late blooming artist begins in 2004 in Texas with an origami butterfly class. I decided origami was just too beautiful to stand on a shelf- that it should be worn and enjoyed, and before I knew it, I was designing unique jewelry using origami elements...My origami experience led me to a passion for paper, and a penchant for relief and assemblage."
