Biography

Elizabeth Ezekiel is part of the two-person Faculty Support Services department, where she works as the faculty support coordinator. Her role includes providing technical and administrative support for classrooms, courses, and instructors of the M.S.W. and Ph.D. programs, assisting with the instructor contracting process, and supporting the Neilson Library team on reserves and copyright clearances.

Elizabeth's academic background is in art history and English literature. Her research focused primarily on early twentieth-century Germanic art, with a focus on how artists from rural communities responded to a rapidly globalizing world, such as their engagement with art and artifacts pillaged from the African continent amidst western Europe’s growing imperialist museum industry. She is also interested in children’s picture book art as an interdisciplinary study of visual and written media.

Her past roles include working in museum education, archives, community arts programming, and as copyeditor for the Bridgewater State undergraduate research journal, The Undergraduate Review. She also worked as the assistant curator for the Anderson Gallery in Bridgewater, MA, helping to execute the show, The Ground We Stand On, featuring multimedia collage works by American artist Lavett Ballard.

Elizabeth is from Massachusetts and, outside of work, enjoys skiing, gardening, hiking, and reading.
