Dear SSW community,
I am writing today to share some exciting news on behalf of Smith College Studies in Social Work.
First, the final issue of Smith College Studies in Social Work: Towards "Decolonizing" Clinical Social Work Practice and Education is now available online! I am pleased to share that this special issue features 13 original articles, in which BIPOC scholars, educators and clinicians engage in the process of "decolonizing" in clinical social work. We are offering open access to this edition for the next three months.
Beginning in 2024 with Volume 94, Issue 1, the journal will publish under a new title: Studies in Clinical Social Work: Transforming Practice, Education and Research.
We are very excited for this title change and feel it will better represent the aims, scope, and focus of the journal while also emphasizing that it is open to submissions from all clinicians, social work educators, practicum instructors, and researchers, regardless of their affiliation.
For more information on the title change, please visit our page on the Smith SSW website.
Thank you for your support of Smith College Studies in Social Work! We hope you will continue to read, review for us, and submit to us under our new title. If you have any questions or concerns, please do reach out.
Best,
