SSW is excited to announce that Kristina Domaney, M.S.W. ’24 and current student Antara Anand have been awarded the 2025 Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI) Social Work Grant Award.
As part of the award, Domaney and Anand will attend the annual meetings of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) in San Francisco in February 2025 with a travel stipend. They will hold guest partnerships at the BPSI, with free tuition to attend continuing education courses, and will be matched with a BPSI social work mentor who they will meet with throughout 2025.
“Smith is well represented with having two of the five award recipients. We welcome Kristina and Antara to our community and look forward to the shared experiences ahead,” says Janet Noonan, chair of the BPSI Social Work Travel Grant Award Committee.
The BPSI is one of the oldest psychoanalytic research institutes in the U.S., and works to reduce emotional suffering and advance the well-being of individuals, families and society through education, research and treatment. Founded in 1933, BPSI is also the largest APsaA and IPA-affiliated institute in the country.
