SSW faculty changes

Dear SSW community:

I am writing to let you know that Assistant Professor Maria Torres will be leaving the School for Social Work in January to pursue another opportunity. For the past six years, Maria has made significant contributions to both our M.S.W. and Ph.D. programs. She has been a powerful student mentor and a welcoming colleague, always going above and beyond for SSW. We are wishing her every success as she moves into her next chapter.

I also wanted to share a quick update regarding our ongoing resident faculty search. Our committee is now completing the first round of interviews with a highly competitive candidate pool. The faculty and I remain steadfast in the use of our five guiding principles to shape our hiring priorities and to guide our searches for the limited term lecturers and tenure track faculty.

Thank you everyone.

Sincerely,
