On-campus Housing

On-campus housing is available free of charge to adjunct faculty. Please note that these are undergraduate dorms that are used for faculty housing, with communal bathrooms on each floor. Also, all housing assignments are gender neutral. Each room comes with a twin bed, bureau, desk and bookcase. Bed linens and towels will be provided. The dorms are not air-conditioned, but each faculty bedroom will have a window air conditioner installed.

Haven House, which is the primary faculty dorm (located next to the Campus Center) has a full-sized kitchen, which faculty may use. A toaster, coffee pot and microwave will be provided for faculty use. We ask that faculty members be responsible for keeping these appliances clean, as a courtesy to your fellow faculty members and the housekeeping staff. All other dorms have kitchenettes with microwaves and refrigerators that faculty may use.

There are a very limited number of suites and rooms with private bathrooms. All housing assignments are based on whether faculty are staying on-campus full-time or part-time. Suites are prioritized to those who:

  • have medical/disability issues
  • are here full-time both terms and cannot reasonably travel home weekends
  • are here full-time for one term and cannot reasonably travel home weekends

Faculty who are assigned suites will NOT be assigned an office, even if one was requested. Faculty who are assigned suites are expected to use the living room area of their suite to see students, etc. Children are not allowed to reside in the dorms. We have limited housing available for faculty with minor children, so please contact the Housing Coordinator ASAP if you are requesting consideration for one of these units.
