Exciting and fun things to in Northampton and the neighboring area
Need a way to get around?
Term 1
Take a break from your summer workload and explore what's new at Smith College Museum of Art! Join Charlene Shang Miller, Educator for Academic Programs for an exploration of Worlds in Process: Art from the SCMA Collection, a new installation piloting new strategies for displaying art from a range of time periods, cultures, materials, and perspectives. We will also take a look at recent acquisitions on view throughout the museum. Meet in the SCMA lobby.
The Botanic Garden of Smith College holds thousands of species of plants from around the globe in collections both under glass at Lyman Plant House and our gardens and campus-wide arboretum. This tour will explore garden highlights, state champion trees, and more as we learn both the history of the collections and what the botanic garden is doing today to involve students in our conservation work and community engagement. Please meet the tour guide at the Botanic Garden main lobby - by the information/check-in desk.
Join Marianne for a fun conversation and meal at the King/Scales Dining Hall.
