Massachusetts Behavioral Health Internship Program
Announced in late 2024, the Massachusetts Behavioral Trust Fund supports paid internships and practicums in mental and behavioral health fields. Read the announcement here. For the 2024-2025 academic year, Smith College School for Social work received an allocation of $260,000 to be distributed to qualifying students.
At Smith, SSW program directors and Student Financial Services will work together to identify recipients and determine grant amounts. The State legislature sets funding levels for the upcoming academic year and will provide funding to Smith College for two academic years, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. Award amounts/awardees will not be determined for 2025-2026 until the State funding is received by the College.
