Send us your proposal for an innovative 1.5 hour breakout session with an anti-racist lens, focusing on:
- Emerging theories and practices
- Integration of modalities
- Tailored interventions
- Culturally-responsive care
Submit proposals by January 1, 2025
Drawing on modalities from psychodynamic to somatic approaches, the event will highlight the diverse clinical practices that are engaging with and supporting a wide range of populations.
We encourage proposals that:
- Introduce emerging theories and practices in clinical work
- Showcase different approaches to integrating psychodynamic, somatic, and other modalities
- Highlight interventions tailored to specific populations, including those with histories of marginalization
- Explore the relationship between clinical expertise and workforce development, emphasizing training, supervision, and professional growth
- Address mental health challenges through culturally-responsive and inclusive clinical frameworks
- Demonstrate new strategies to support healing in individuals and communities
- Proposals should align with Smith College School for Social Work’s Core Principles
Compensation is $450 per session and includes conference attendance and continuing education credits. On-campus housing may be available but regrettably, we cannot offer travel reimbursement.
Priority consideration will be given to those who submit proposals by January 1 date.
If your course is selected, you will be notified no later than January 31, 2025. If you are not contacted by this date, please assume your course was not selected this year. The conference is taking place on August 1, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Smith College campus.
