Food Plan
All students who live on campus, and any dependents age five and younger living in family housing, are on the full housing plan, which entitles them to breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. SSW has established optional meal purchasing for students living off-campus and students living in family housing with children over age five or partners. If interested in this option, please see the below section titled "Optional Meals Purchased."
Please note:
- This food plan is for use in the SSW Dining Room only. It CANNOT be used at the Campus Center Cafe.
- Students who live in family housing who wish to purchase meals for spouses, partners, or children over the age of five, please use this form. Unused meals may roll over from term 1 to term 2.
- No refunds will be given for unused meals at the end of the summer. Meals cannot roll over into the following summer.
Dietary Accommodations
Dining Services is committed to working with students who have documented food allergies and/or medically restricted diets. If you know you have a food allergy and/or require a medically restricted diet, please take these mandatory steps:
- Register your dietary accommodations with the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC)
- Contact the Dining Manager, Adam Dunetz at adunetz@smith.edu, as soon as possible.
Dining Services staff is able to safely and reasonably guide students with food allergies to make their own food choices. Some food allergies and intolerances can be managed independently within your dining location. We cannot accommodate for dietary preferences; however, we can provide students with information about our menus, recipes and ingredients with our Net Nutrition System and dining options.
Optional Meals Purchased
Students living off-campus and students with children (over age five) and partners living in family housing can purchase meals through this form. The price of each meal is $12, and can be bought in blocks of 10 or 20. These meals may be any combination of breakfast, lunch or dinner. The number of meals purchased will be added to your I.D. card, which you must swipe to gain access to the dining room.
Other Dining Options
The Campus Center Café offers a wide variety of food and beverages (with vegan and vegetarian selections), including gourmet pizzas prepared in a stone hearth oven, salads made to order, homemade soups, panini and deli sandwiches, and grilled foods. SSW students, staff and faculty may purchase meals from the Campus Center Café. However, meals at the Café are not covered by the food plan.
If you are a faculty member, you may use your OneCard to pay for purchases from the Campus Center Café. The price will be submitted to the Bursar's office and deducted from your paychecks. You will receive periodic statements of the balance in your campus mailboxes. Ordering at the cafe is done via Grubhub.
