Welcome to the SSW Writing Center, a free resource for SSW students! We are here to support you in all your writing needs. Come share your ideas, develop your paper, and fine-tune your style.
Our trained peer writing tutors - who are 2nd- and 3rd-summer SSW students - offer evening appointments in Neilson Learning Commons and additional drop-in services on Wednesdays in King/Scales during lunch.
Director of SSW Writing Support Dr. Magdalena Zapędowska offers daytime appointments in Seelye 307 and writing workshops on Wednesday afternoons.
Individual Writing Counseling
Our experience has shown us that all writers can benefit from feedback on their writing, no matter what their level of expertise, so make appointments with us to discuss your work at any stage of the process. We can help you break down an assignment, brainstorm ideas, create an outline, organize first drafts and polish final papers. We’re here to help you produce your best work by building on your strengths. We also offer more specialized work for English Language Learners and people with learning differences.
