As part of the Higher Education Amendment, Smith College School for Social Work must provide you information on registering to vote.
Registering to vote in Massachusetts
You can register to vote in Massachusetts in one of two ways.
- Register online to vote in Massachusetts
- Print out a Massachusetts registration form, or pick one up the Northampton City hall, 210 Main St, Room 4, or any post office.
When completing the registration form, please use your permanent home address for your physical address. During the summer, your mailing address is your campus box number.
Please note: In order to vote in Massachusetts, you must be registered 20 days before all primaries and elections and/or 10 days before a special town meeting.
Registering to vote in another state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory
Many states, plus the District of Columbia, permit online voter registration. Or, download the national form to register in another state.
You will not be registered to vote until you return the completed voter registration form to your local city or town hall. The local clerk will thereafter provide you with acknowledgement of your voter registration. If you do not receive an acknowledgment of your voter registration within a reasonable time, please check with your local clerk for more information.
