Orientation and Convocation

Orientation will be held May 31 - June 3. First year students  are required to attend events on May 31 and June 2. Second and third year students are encouraged to attend Convocation and the SSW (ARPG) Opening Ceremony which are scheduled for Sunday, June 2, 2024. All students are required to attend the virtual Building an Accountable Community event on the evening of Monday, June 3.

This 90-minute yoga class with extended gong bath will focus on grounding and reorienting ourselves to our summer home and brave work ahead and co-creating a culture of community care. This is an open level alignment-based yoga practice inviting clarity, integrity, and spaciousness.

This event is one of many organized by the Council for Students of Color in celebration of BIPOC Smith SSW students. Convene at King/Scales driveway for carpooling in Smith van or for specific swimming location if not carpooling.

Parking is available for students in any green lined space on campus. Parking permits are required and may be purchased from the parking office. Please print a copy of your receipt and place it on the dashboard of your vehicle until you receive your decal.
